22nd October, 1994

Immediately the organist played, I turned around with the congregation… and there she was walking down the aisle. Walking towards me, with the most gorgeous smile I had ever seen.

She looked stunning in her immaculate wedding gown, while golden sun rays peeping through the church window formed halo around her. Her face was radiant and fair like a glittering star, her eyes stared gently and lovingly at me like a gazelle, her beauty dazzled my senses like a fine exquisite work of art. What an angelic vision!
And, the sweet thought that Alice, my southern belle, would soon be my wife, was an excitement I barely controlled that day.

It’s been over 22 years now starting from the day I proposed, but, that day is still as vivid to me as if it was yesterday.

Daily Prompt: Vivid
