Gossips Are Worse Than Thieves

Gossips are worse than thieves
They steal from another man-
Dignity, honour, reputation, credibility,
These are impossible to restore,
Unlike earthly physical possessions.

At the point when a man slips,
He can recover and readjust his balance,
At the point when his tongue slips,
He cannot recover his words,
He cannot readjust the damage caused,
There’s nothing to caper to, revel in or profit from,
When another man’s dignity is stolen and tarnished.

Daily Prompt: Caper

I really like this post and can easily relate. I have neighbors that for years, have judged and gossiped to the point I stopped letting my kids play on the street with the other kids – which just led to more gossip. I really like how you worded this piece. I have distanced myself from these people on purpose. God wants me to love them, and forgive them – and I would help them if they ever needed help. But I do not want to be friends with them for the reasons above.

That’s really really sad. It doesn’t take much to come up to you and find out the true situation of things. And it’s obvious God has really helped you to grow past your hurt, forgive them and help them in time of need, that’s always what He wants from us. They are the not the enemy, the Devil is, but they have allowed themselves to be used by him to hurt your family. We can’t be friends with everyone but we must love everyone like you pointed out. Thank you so much for sharing this, God bless you richly 🌺🌺💝💝
