Two Lovebirds

On a bed of tanned soft sandy shores
Under the starless opaque clouds
Sat two lovebirds in a honeymoon snug
Closely, silently, an affectionate hug
Watching the setting sun wave goodbye
While the restless murmuring sea
Hummed in a low non-rhythmic key
Immersed in the tranquil untroubled
No words uttered, none was needed

Beware!

Words spoken in anger most times are hard to take back.

The hurts and the pain they cause becomes too deep to be forgotten.
The wounds and scars they leave may never heal in time.
They break and ruin, disfigure and dislocate the best of relationships for years to come.

One great problem with words: once you say it, you can’t retrieve it back. It’s tendency to heal or hurt, break or make, appreciated or misunderstood depends on who heard it.

Regrets, remorse and repentance comes afterwards but an irreparable loss and damage would have been done already. Beware of the words you speak when angry.

If you can’t help it, leave the scene, take a mouthful of water and don’t swallow it, countdown from 20-1, do whatever works for you.

When every raging emotions and every turbulent sea is calm, you will be glad you did.

Heaven’s Beautiful Shore

Unfriendly tempests around us assail
As we sail to that Beautiful Shore
With God’s Word to lead us forth
Against each tide we will prevail

How we trust our Father’s hand
To lead His children safely home
Fear not Pilgrim, do journey on
Soon on Heaven’s Shore we shall stand

Sweet Holy Spirit give us strength
Sin does beckon with every tide
Draw us near towards Your side
Dark lusty waves are not our friend

Let heaven’s wind bear us on
May our heartfelt prayers prove our course
Each heart rejoicing with praise to God
When we stand on Heaven’s Beautiful Shore

A Dog’s Dream

Listening to the comfortable laps of the waves against the shore, gaping with a dripping tongue as the surfer rode beautifully on the waves like a ballerina dancing daintily to a soft ballad, little people making a fuss about some sand castle while bigger people lay on their bare skins for a tan with cocktails beside them… “Hmm…the pleasures these humans do indulge in” the dog wondered in amazement.
“I wish I could do that”, he sighed with a growl as he lay lazily down on the sun-baked beach sand lapping his margarita.
